A Presidential Pediatrician Appointment (Day 88 of 365)
Monday, February 15th, 2010
In honor of President’s Day today we were blessed to stay home from work/school and achieve some big things like…taking Jorden and Taylor to the pediatrician in order to get clearance for Jorden’s Wednesday eye surgery and since I was already on my way I thought I would bring Taylor along since she continues to have this cold that continues to brew in me. I thought it was best to take full advantage of our trip. It is amazing how a quick trip to the Doctor can become nearly a full day excursion. My appointment time was scheduled for 9:30 am. We didn’t sit down in the actual room till 11:35.

I didn’t realize that my friend Jase took a short video of Taylor taking action and bagging our groceries at Smart & Final. I thought I would post it since I already wrote about it! Read More
Jorden & Karate! (Day 66 of 365)
Sunday, January 24th, 2010
Jorden has been attending Karate 2-3 times a week since October 1st. We were recommended by his Physical Therapist for him to take a form of martial arts in order to strengthen his muscles and tendons. Jorden was told he needed surgery on his left tendon in his foot/heel (not sure the exact name of it). He often walks on the tips of his toes ( some times more than other times). AND in the past has experience severe cramping. He is very fortunate that this is the severity of his cerebral palsy. Therefore, to avoid future surgery we wanted to try Martial Arts instead.
