Mom & Son Night! (Day 326 of 365)

Saturday, October 16th 2010

Today started at 8am…when I jumped out of my bed to realize that I overslept. I ran out of bed to meet The Physical Therapist at the door. She came over to work with the girls. She works with them by stretching their legs and having them do various exercises to strengthem their muscles. Erin was up first, and did awesome! Erin is always so compliant and usually follows all directions when given by others. Then it was Taylor’s turn. I should just end it there with a period and you should get some type of idea how Taylor did.

The header says it all! Have you ever had one of those days?

Overall, the kiddos are pretty healthy, no seizures for awhile, and so far colds have stayed away from them…so I choose not to call it a bad day. It is just ONE of THOSE days. Does this make sense?

A Family Competition in Utah (Day 323 of 365)

Wednesday, October 13th 2010

Cerebral palsy or no cerebral palsy! Us Littles are competitive!!! I knew I was competitive…but I didn’t realize how much I had passed it on to my children. I was able to capture the moment on video and thought you would enjoy. I’m sure you will enjoy a few laughs while you are at it….

Taylor Moving, Erin’s A’s, & Jorden Learning Sign (Day 302 of 365)

Wednesday, September 22nd 2010

The alarm went off at 5 am this morning…I rolled out of bed and went and laid in bed with Taylor to slowly nudge her to become consious (if you read our blog on a regular basis you will know that she is not the easiest to awake in the morning). After about 10 minutes…she turned to me and said “Mom, I’m moving.” This was news to me! I said, “where?” She quickly responded, “Tennessee”. “Tennessee?, and what are you going to do there?” She said, “To see my Dad, he needs to come here, and doesn’t so I will go there soon..” She continues to tell me that she is mad at me for getting upset with her for getting upset with me the night before. I don’t know where all this came from…but it was refreshing to see her think and advocate for herself. AND no worries, even though she may think it…she isn’t going anywhere. She knew I knew this…that’s why…as she was leaving to get on the bus, she stuck her head back in the house and said “I REALLY am moving!” :-)
