Yesterday, Jorden and I came up with an idea. We thought it would be awesome if he wrote an entry every week. What do you think about this? Summer is fast approaching and the kiddos will be leaving in about a month to visit their Dad in Tennessee. They will be gone for 6-8 weeks. I thought it would be awesome if Jorden emailed me pictures and wrote an entry about the things that they have been doing while they are gone. Therefore, we started it last night. I think as the time goes on this will also help him with his grammar and spelling, and I predict that he will get more and more into writing. He already likes to read our blog, and with him writing every week…he’ll be sure to put his heart into it.
The goal this weekend was to give my time to my kiddos! I get so wrapped up in the week and am going going going that at times I don’t even stop to sit down with them for a minute at times. Time really goes by fast…however, I think you already know that
.
On Friday night, we were able to get free tickets through our church to see the Las Vegas 51’s (our local Baseball Team).
The kids had a blast!! Not so much watching the game, but seeing all of our friends from church that we know. I have to say…those 3 kids know a lot of people! I don’t think I knew even a quarter of the people they do. It is definitely an experience walking with them and watching them interact with everyone. It’s funny to set them free in the room and watch them go!
On Saturday, I woke up early and took Taylor to my Mom’s house…she had wanted to go the night before, but we already had plans to go to the game. My Mom is so great about taking at least one of the kiddos for a night on a weekend every month. This allows for the kiddos to get one on one time with her, and it is always a nice break for me when I have a moment with only two kiddos (it really does make a difference). After dropping little Miss Tay off, I was able to have a couple hours at the salon (I only do this for two times a month). It’s amazing what a cut & a little color can do!!! I feel like a new girl!
Later in the day we visited a friend who was visiting from San Diego. She was staying at a nearby hotel and invited us to the pool. I really enjoyed watching the twins swim in a pool with tons of people. It was great seeing them play, swim, and interact with others all on their own. I actually just sat and watched them for a good hour. It was really awesome to see!
Even though it is so great getting out and getting involved with the kids…it can be exhausting at times. Before going anywhere, I always have to figure out…how parking will be, will I need to take the wheelchairs for the girls? If I do take wheelchairs will Jorden be able to push Erin or Tay while I push the other one? Are there going to be big crowds? Will there be steps? These are just a few of the questions I ask myself on a repeat basis. AND honestly, there are times I just don’t want to go…it can be way too much work! However, I gotta…I just gotta!
Until Next Time,
