Jorden Returns to a Lazy Saturday (Day 278 of 365)

Saturday, August 28th 2010

Even though the girls weren’t with me yesterday during the Wedding…it seemed as if we all required a recovery day today. I chose not to take the girls to the Wedding since I was in the Wedding party itself. They stayed home with a family friend Danielle. She has watched them when I needed someone to hang at the house for about 4 years now. I can’t tell you how great it is to have someone at my house who knows how to handle an emergency, knows when medicines are due & what dose without me giving him/her the routine spill AND someone who isn’t intimidated with Taylor’s little behavior bursts. What a blessing it is when she can watch them.

The Wedding was absolutely wonderful. Ron & Tiffany planned an awesome event. Everything was perfect! Even the surprise thunder/rain storm that occured 2 hours into the reception. I think it was perfect and even though I looked like a drownedrat from being in the middle of the storm…it was a great evening filled with lasting memories until early in the morning. Watching Ron & Tiffany last night…made me realize that I have been settling in all areas of my life…and I get it now that I can have it all. For the first time ever, I believe it. They really are amazing to watch…AND he really is great to her. He treats her like a Princess…and he often tells me I deserve the same from any man that is with me. Ron has been a great example to me of who and what a man should be to any woman. I’m grateful for him and grateful that he found someone as great as Tiffany.

Jorden returned today from Reno visiting my brother. It’s great to have him home. He had an awesome time…with his cousins, hiking over rocks on the Lake, and ordering room service! My brother said he was an absolutely perfect gentleman, and him & my Sister-n-law would have kept him another month if they could. It’s great to hear this and helps me to be excited about the Gentleman that he is becoming. Jorden’s plane arrived about 20 minutes early while I was waiting in line to get a security pass to meet him at his gate. He called me when he got off the plane and informed me that he would wait for me at his gate. I can’t tell you how great it is to have a child  who is independent and who I can fully trust to make sound, rationale, and responsible decisions. Even though, Erin & Tay can be independent, they still require more supervision in some areas than others.

After picking up Jordy boy, I ran him by the Barbershop and had his hair cut for school. We rented some movies and we made grilled cheese sandwiches. All four of us camped out in the living room and had a movie day. Oh, it was so needed…We haven’t done that in awhile and boy is it wonderful!

Until Next Time,

E
