I originally wrote my header as “Back To Work” and then I quickly deleted it…because in reality it’s really not work. If I haven’t told you before I’ll tell you now… I love what I do for a living…I just love it!!
I work with 3-6 year olds who have been diagnosed with Autism. This is my 7th year as a Special Education Teacher and my 3rd year working just with children with Autism. I wish I could explain the feeling I get inside when I get to interact, play, and teach. I recognize the opportunities that are available to change a child’s life. Most of all, I wish to properly explain how year after year these children change my life. It’s not the child who has autism, its the child who see’s things so simply, who never gives up, and who trusts whole heartedly.
Today was the first day back for the 2010-11 school year, and the next couple days will be spent preparing & planning for next week when the students come back to school. I just love this time of year. I’m giddy with anticipation and can’t wait till I get to see the kiddos on Monday.
