It’s rather late this Tuesday evening and to be honest I’m scrambling to finish my blog for this day in order to close my eyes and get some rest for the remainder of the week. I woke up quite early and was on a mission to prepare for what I call my “normal” life.
The kiddos have been home from Tennessee (except for Jorden who is visiting my brother & sister-n-law for the remainder of the week) and work for me begins tomorrow at 8am. Today, I could feel “normalcy” kick back into gear. There is now a “things to do list” that I have started. It includes all of the “back to work” for me and “back to school” to do’s for the kiddos.
The school bus drivers for the the kids called today to discuss with me the bus schedule for each of them this year. A Occupational Therapist for the PCA (Personal Care Assistant) Provider for both Erin & Tay came over today to re-evaluate each of them and see if they will receive services this year. This ensures that someone will waiting for each of them when they get off the bus since I am still at work. I went and got my oil change and my car serviced in order to prepare my vehicle for driving around to various schools in this Las Vegas heat for the next 3 months. And I finished filling out all of the forms that are needed/required for each of my children in order to start back to school.
Of course, this doesn’t include cleaning out closets, drawers, doing laundry, and all the other stuff that comes with this time of year..AND daily living. The craziness is beginning and to be honest…I feel more at peace then I have the last month. I know this is not because chaos is starting. This is because I have been really working on taking care of myself and my needs (as far as reading more then ever (my comfort, The Bible, journaling, & really focusing on my family’s needs). It really feels great, and I am really excited for what tomorrow will bring.
Until Next Time,
E
