A Seizure, Swimming, A Bachelorette Party, & Sleep Needed (Day 261 of 365)

The title explains it all….

This morning was quite the busy day…I woke up early and was able to get a quick workout in. My plan was to get the kiddos ready and to take Erin and Jorden to the 8th grade registration at their school. We were all just about ready to go when I went into Taylor’s room and saw Erin laying on the floor having a mild seizure. Uggg, it breaks my heart. After, I realized that she was having a mild one…I sat with her for a bit…and then soon realized that I needed to give her the medicine (valumm given rectally) to help stop the seizure. It is so much more difficult now when she has one because she is so much bigger. Just a year ago, I could pick her up and carry her to her room. However, now…she is almost my heigth and to even roll her over is a challenge.

The medicine usually works rather quickly for Erin. After an hour of her resting…she was feeling much better. She wasn’t back to her normal self, but she was ready to sit up and move around. We had made plans a few days ago to go to the girl’s Occupational Therapist’s home to go swimming…and Erin was still up for it. When things like this happen…I usually try my best to continue on with our day as normal as possible. Although there are days where that is just not possible.

We went to Jeannie’s house and played in the pool, lounged on her “hammocks”, and enjoyed her dogs.  I love Jeannie (the girl’s OT). She is so great…and knows how to provide true Occupational Therapy that will meet their needs. It’s truly individualized! I appreciate her!!!

Next week is my friend’s Ron & Tiffany’s Wedding. Tonight was Tiffany’s Bridal Shower. Being that I am a “Groom’s Wo-Man”. Yes, that is right…you read it right. A Groom’s Woman. (I am standing on Ron’s side). I wanted to make sure I attended plus I love the Bride! I think she is absolutely wonderful and am so glad that they both met eachother. However, I was not feeling the greatest…and can’t help but think of Erin often, therefore I left early. I’m trusting that everything will be ok with her…and at the same time am concerned of her seizure this morning and also concerned of her sovereign mood since she has been home from her Dad’s house.

Jorden is leaving in the morning to see my brother and I we will be getting him ready for a week in Reno. He is so excited…that he is talking about it any minute he can. I’m so excited for him and grateful that he has this time with my brother.

AND Taylor…continues to miss Jase.

Honestly, feeling like I am rambling on with complete nonsense. I think that means it is time for bed.

Until Next Time,

E

Eden im sorry to read about Erin having seizures but glad she is alright to.

I want to ask if not to personal for someone you hardly know

What type/s of seizures does Erin and Taylor have?

My friend with CP outgrew his seizures but he had loads of tonic clonic seizures till he was 12 years old.
