Today was spent most of the day in solitude (up until 5 o’clock) That is when free drinks and appetizers started. I read & read and wrote and wrote…AND that’s pretty much all I have to say about that. I’ll share more later.
While visiting Bermuda I have learned many different tidbits about the Island, the people, and their way of living…Here’s a few facts I have come to know while here. Some I have come to know a little too well. Here are a few to
1. All Households in Bermuda only are permitted to drive one vehicle due to Bermuda’s population and due to limited parking on the Island.
2. Bermuda’s only source of fresh water rain water that is gathered on roofs or in tanks in the basements therefore it is important that we use it sparingly.
3. Bermuda is known to be the creator of the famous Swizzle. This is an alcoholic beverage that is made up different flavors of rum & juices. These are quite the big deal here (and we are one of the lucky few that were able to snag the recipe!)
4. A curling iron is not necessary when traveling…your hair is just gonna frizz anyway due to the humidity.
5. At night…an extremely loud, high pitch sound, is heard throughout the trees. These are tree frogs. It is very challenging to spot one since they are only the size of a fingernail.
I thought I would share some a few fun facts with ya that I have learned. Hope you enjoy!
Until Next Time,
