Well, I did it! I handed my credit card over to Sjohnna and she booked me the red eye flight to Bermuda on Thursday evening. I will be arriving in Bermuda on Friday afternoon. I will be there for a week and have no idea what I will be doing. However, Sjohnna is lending me her snorkeling gear, so I believe that snorkeling will be on the agenda. I hope my friend Lori is ready! You never know what you are gonna get with me (especially these days!).
Last night we spent the evening watching fireworks over the Bay. It was beautiful, but there was no doubt that something was missing (4 somethings)…however, I still enjoyed being there with great friends with the ocean in front of me!
Today, Sjohnna and I spent the day at La Jolla Shores where we took surfing lessons. (Video soon to follow) I actually got to surf!!! Can you believe it?! I even was able to stand up on my board a couple times!!! Wooo Hoo!
Before the lessons I sat on the sand and took a few minutes to really enjoy my surroundings. 
I don’t think I have expressed how much I love the ocean. In fact, I knew I loved it…but didn’t really realize how much I loved it till today. I love the smell of the salt water, I love the way the sand feels (especially when it is cool), I love the sound of the waves crashing, and love when the waves are so loud that it is a challenge to hear anything but. I love looking out into the ocean and seeing nothing but water. I just love it!
Surfing was quite fun and quite a workout. No worries…I have it all on video and will post it soon.
