Well, it is 7am…and waking up in a quiet home is definitely going to take adjustment. In fact, I am used to Jorden coming in my room throughout the night to check on me…so I caught myself waking up nearly every couple hours due to habit.
The kiddos have safely arrived in Knoxville, TN yesterday. Taylor called me…and I was relieved to hear her laughing and joking. I was concerned there for awhile…because the last few days she has been telling me that she didn’t want to go (which isn’t normal for Taylor…she loves her Dad!) AND I had seen a change in her behavior…she was very irritable and more clingy. I was actually concerned that she wasn’t gonna get on that plane…but no worries…she did fine and she seems to be very happy so far.
It was strange walking away from that gate at the airport without no children in tow. I have to admit, I had a little pity party for myself. It was just a small one. I went home slept it off for 4-5 hours and was ready to get up and enjoy my summer!
Well, now the Million Dollar question…What am I gonna do? Honestly, I currently don’t have tons of resources to do much…but I always surprise myself of what one can do when I get creative…and I will tell you one thing…I am not staying in Vegas the entire summer! I have some stuff I need to get straight around my home, so I will be home for a little while getting my paperwork and home straight. My friends have invited me to stay with them at various places…so I currently have a few places in the works that I will be going…I can’t wait! (AND, when I say “going”..I mean out of town), Also, now is the time to meet up for coffee, for talks, for fun time, with all those people that I have wanted to see, wanted to get to know, and wanted to learn more about. It will be great! I have a good feeling!
Most of all this will be the time to really get to know myself again. I lost my self there for awhile and I am gonna work on just being me. Since I have more time I am going to do my best to post two entries a day…I’m not gonna promise anything though
