The Day Started With a Status (Day 52 of 365)

Sunday, January 10th, 2009

I have to admit I am feeling real bummed that I wasn’t able to edit some videos of the kiddos today. I was real frustrated that I wasn’t getting my blog posted earlier than now. I was going to share an old video of one of the kiddos and then a friend reminded me of the awesome day I had…so let me share with you a synopsis of a great Sunday.

I woke up excited to for the kids and I to get ready for Church. I went to make some coffee to realize that the coffee maker was broken. I updated my status on Facebook with “Houston…we have a problem! The coffee maker is broken!” This really wasn’t the end of the world. If I have to I can do without coffee. However, I would have loved a cup! A friend came over to make the kids breakfast this morning…and then we were on our way off to church. As we were leaving, I opened the garage door to find a coffee maker with coffee filters & coffee! The coffee fairy MUST have seen my post and pleasantly surprised me! Yes, coffee is great….AND the thought and warmth it brought to my heart was better than what any cup of joe could do! Thanks to the Coffee Fairy (whomever you are!!!).

After the church service that we attended, a good friend was baptized. I had the honor of watching another wonderful friend baptize him while I filmed it. Very exciting! What a blessing!!! The kids and I came home…and made a plan out for the rest of the day. They agreed to rest for a couple hours, while I went to work out at the gym. When I was finished, I came home with them ready to go to see the movie Avatar in 3-D! Wow, what a long and good movie! It started later than expected and lasted longer than anticipated…so needless to say the kiddos have just laid their head’s down on their pillows. Let’s pray that tomorrow is a better Monday for Taylor than last Monday!!

Time for me to say Ta Ta for the night from a great and busy Sunday. Blessings are happening all around us…a suggestion I have for you is to take a moment and enjoy them. I almost just passed them up!

Until next time,

E
