It is 3 AM, and been up a majority of the evening. Tay just woke up a couple hours ago crying and complaining of that headache again. I put her in my bed to make her feel more at ease, and after 45 minutes she followed up with the vomiting. Uggg, I thought we figured out the cause to these headaches! I am praying that the antibiotics are just starting to kick in and she will be better in no time. Find myself praying constantly. Prayer is definitely a calming mechanism for me. It really works, you know. It’s a peace to know that it is all out of my control in the end. A week ago, I would have consumed myself with worry and loneliness trying to figure out answers to many unanswered questions. The same questions would start to come up: “Who is gonna watch Taylor?”, “What am I gonna do if I miss work?”. “Will my co-workers be upset with me?”, yadi yadi yadda!
It all works out in the end doesn’t it? Out of all the songs that I love this song came to me. Thought I would play it for you. These are where the answers lie really. God is great!

An Easy Read to Assist With Giving the Foundations to Make a Peaceful Home
About a year ago, I read the book Have a New Kid by Friday by Kevin Leman. I bought this book at my church. You can by it any bookstore though. I was at a point where I would have given anything to be locked up for a weekend! The bickering and back talk was very evident amongst the kids. Wow, what a difference it made in my home! Now, keep in mind…this is not a book that is targeted for children with special needs. However, it teaches us as parents how to set a good tone for our kiddos. It even helped me with some adults I know! One of the best things about it is that it is half of the book is simply on how to deal with specific behaviors. Are you having a difficulty with your child talking back? Then, you turn to the talking back section and the book gives you some awesome ideas to use! It has nearly every challenging behavior noted and addressed that comes up. Also, it is a quick read…so if you are like me…Grab the book and lock yourself in your bathroom for 20 minutes a day and you will be finished by Friday!
Erin's Day!
My children and I share this video with you…It is Erin taking the leap of faith to claim that Jesus Christ is her Lord and Savior. What a beautiful moment it was when twin brother assisted with her baptism. She planned this all herself, which made it that much cooler! So blessed to have these kids. They are awesome! Check out the video!
You Never Know How a Prayer Will Be Answered…
It’s late, and wouldn’t be able to sleep unless this is shared with you. Those who know my oldest daughter Taylor know that she has had some pretty severe headaches, which have caused many other health scares. So severe, that she was hospitalized over Easter in the Peds ICU. I was quite concerned. Taylor has a VP shunt to drain the fluid from her brain. We have been blessed that there has been no complications or any replacements of the shunt for 16 years. This is extremely rare! Therefore, I continue to add that to the many blessings!
